"Pearlie" was imported from Wales, from Deb Jones and Aled Owen when she was 10 weeks old. Her father, Gwyn, who Aled briefly and successfully trialed, is currently working on Aled's brothers farm. You can see him working in Aled's new DVD. He is also the sire of Aled's nursery dog, the exceptional Mac (whose mother is a littermate to Tegwen). Her mother Tegwen is from the cross of International Sheepdog Champion Bob, and Lil, and is a talented and strong sheepdog.

Pearl is very sweet and devoted, extremely intense, lightening fast and responsive both physically and mentally. She is also very athletic, and incredibly intelligent and quick to learn. She is very easy to train and always wants to do whatever I want, sometimes too much! She has very nice feel for her sheep, natural square flanks, and excellent balance. Her intensity draws her in on her stock, so I am always holding her back so she can rate her stock properly. She has plenty of courage, and sheep don't challenge her. Pearl is working as a farm dog, and happily manages any chore.
