Welcome to Kerales Farm!
In Mid July 06, we left Maine--our home for 26 years-- and moved outside the village of Applebachsville in Haycock Township, Upper Bucks County, PA. We bought an old farm, originally built sometime early 1700s, that had been used recently for agricultural farming, but had not been used for livestock in some time. We modified the interior of the barn for our livestock , built several pastures, laid miles of fence, added a round pen for training dogs, and a sand agility ring. We offer sheepdog lessons and clinics with well known, accomplished trainers in the art of training and handling sheepdogs. We also offer private and group agility lessons, and occasional clinics.
We are a family owned hobby farm, with a small flock of Khatadin and Scottish Blackface sheep. We pride ourselves on proper shepherding of our livestock, and strive to produce the highest quality of market lamb. We finish our stock in natures way providing lamb that tastes the way it should. We have custom cut lamb for sale, as well as fleeces, and eggs from our free range birds. We occasionally have breeding ewes, lambs, and dog broke sheep for sale as well.
We occasionally breed a litter of Border Collies. We strive to produce strong stockdogs useful for farm work who also have the physical abilities to be competetive in agility. We want dogs of sound body and mind, with high work ethic, confident yet biddable temperament, and with the mental toughness necessary to handle pressure from stock or handler. We want our dogs to be able to work all day and stay sound into their golden years, so of equal importance is a balanced, athletic body with good angulation and muscalature. We only place our puppies in working homes with excellent references required.
We welcome visitors, just call in advance.
We are located at 1138 West Saw Mill Road, Quakertown, PA 18951
